Microblading is a technique where fine lines are etched into the surface of the skin, and semi-permanent pigment embedded. The strokes accurately replicate hair. Results can last from six to 18 months before it completely fades, depending on a variety of factors such as color of pigment, skin type, and lifestyle.
Permanent Make-up is a true tattoo. The pigments are applied to a deeper layer of skin using a machine, which is why they are permanent. Unlike a machine tattoo, microbladed brows fade completely from the skin after a period of time.
The initial microblading session will take about 2 hours. The session will begin with a thorough consultation where the brow Specialist will shape the brows, mark up the design and choose the appropriate color upon the client’s approval. The procedure will begin once the client is satisfied with the shape.
The brows will appear much darker for the first week since the color is fresh but don’t worry, the color softens about 30% as it heals. You will notice light scabbing after a few days. Keep in mind that this is part of the healing process and you should avoid picking the scabs as this could damage the results of the Micro bladed area. For the first week following the treatment, it is very important that you follow the after care instructions given after the procedure to ensure the best results.
Yes. It is important to return for a touch up session between 4-8 weeks following the initial procedure. Your touch up session is when we can refine the brows, address any areas, and help to maintain the perfect shape. Color, thickness, & density of strokes can be added during the second visit. Please note that touch up sessions need to be done no sooner then 4 weeks after the initial microblading session, to ensure that pigment color has fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as the tissue requires that time to completely heal.
